Teen Programs

For middle and high school students in grades 6 thru 12.

A book club for homeschooled tweens and teens!  Talk about and share a different book each month with Katrina here at the library. Books will be distributed out one month in advance for each book club meeting. For more details, go to our event calendar or contact Katrina.

Lego Guild is for middle school aged students. The at-home builds are slightly more challenging than those of the Lego Club for children. Each month will have a specific theme. Details, themes, and registration information available on our event calendar.

Like manga? Join us to view a short manga, talk about manga books and characters, and share manga artwork. The Manga League is for tweens and teens.

TAB, Teen Advisory Board, is open to 6-12 graders who want to contribute ideas and opinions about teen programs, book discussions, and to have fun! TAB meets monthly.

Our popular Teen Summer Reading Program helps students in grades 6-12 keep up their reading skills over the summer months. The program offers fun events, activities, and incentives designed to keep teens reading. Look for the Summer Reading Program schedule of events in the June issue of In Middlebury Magazine and on our homepage during the summer months.

If 14 and older, you can gain valuable experience for future jobs by being a teen volunteer. You can also fulfill your National Honor Society volunteer hours with volunteering.  During the summer the library needs help with various events and tasks. Contact Katrina, Teen Librarian, to become a VolunTEEN or come into the library to fill out our application.
